Ladies Tweed: suits jackets skirts
"The Modern version of Diana the Huntress is comfortably dressed in heavy tweeds whose colours blend with the Autumn woods" Genevieve Antoine Dariaux "Elegance"
In this gallery PonyGurl Couture brings you the style and detail of our collection.
Our Collection you may note is Winter/Spring not autumn winter. Yes you read that corrctly. Sorry but the French fashion houses that dreamt up the seasons obviously hadn't ever been to Cheltenham Races in March.

For this season, we have created two jackets which can be made to measure to your requirements.
1.Riding Mistress
An equestrian jacket inspired by the Edwardian period but cut in 1940's style. The arms are very tightly fited whch adds exageration to the puffed shoulders and upper sleeve. We have avoided the use of shoulder pads whilst trying to give he illusion of them. It is thus very practical and though flattering the female form is easy to move in for race wear or riding, or even role play for students of Sacher Masoch.
We have a very small number available in stock (3)and it can be done in any of the tweeds you see here to order by our couture workshop. Because they also make couture for two of the top Fashion Houses it can take up to six weeks so be patient.
If you are lucky of course one of the three we have in stock may fit you like a glove!
I is trimmed with a beautiful high quality sage rouched velvet collar and cuffs.
2.The Corset Jacket.
A superb outfit for judging or stewarding at a horse show or point to point and be the most stylsh in the pub afterward.
Again we have just made six of these and will make others to order to fit your measurments.
Inspired by a 1980's Thierry Mugler suit, we have adapted it to fit more comfortably to allow ease of working with horses for example. We have made the front fit ls sric and the upper body removed much of the structure. The result is it is very light and comfortable, and we have also added the luxry of real fur.
Again there is the choice of four window pane tweeds which are from a very small Scottish Mill.
we have teamed the pale gren grey with burgundy and perol blue pane with burgundy fox and burgundy lace up back.
we have teamed the green grey with petrol blue and pale lilac pane with petrol blue mink with a natural mink tinge.
We have teamed the RAF blue with golden brown pane with incredibly soft czech rex rabbit.
We have teamed the heavier duty dark green tweed with beauiful rich dark green soft soft rex. This tweed also has a blue and russet pane.
We advise wearing the jackets with jodphurs and boots or even jeans and boots, but for more formal days like the races we have done two matching skirts.
One is short kick plea; and the other an ankle length double wrap around hobble skirt.
Please browse the images and contact us to discuss your measurements when ready to order.
Whilst prduce like fur and tweed are infiniely renewable resources that as a traditional human economic activity protect habitat for many endangered species, we cannot always guarantee the supply or colours are constant or indeed and we may have to change them slightly depending on availability.
Ideal for gracing a racecourse game fair country event or horse show or for ripping heads off males in the high street or restaurant.
